Why Organic?

I felt this topic deserved its own page because it's an important part of my life and the tone of this blog.

In my offline life I hardly ever talk about this stuff because I'm usually in the company of people who don't believe the "hype" about organic, or focus on the unreliability of organic labeling, or give up on the idea with the excuse that it's too expensive.

So I'm not going to spout long arguments about this since it has been done countless times and probably better than I would, so here are some pretty good resources that aren't too stuffy:

- Short and Sweet: This has subtitles, but is a sweet and short video by the Swedes: https://youtu.be/oB6fUqmyKC8

- Cute Cartoon: Great explanation and some tips: https://youtu.be/GhIZWhJtY8w

- Further Reading: And here is a lengthy article for those non-visual learners: http://www.helpguide.org/articles/healthy-eating/organic-foods.htm

- No to GMOs: An article on why GMOs are bad: http://naturallysavvy.com/eat/whats-so-bad-about-gmos-top-ten-reasons-to-avoid-them

- Budget Minded?: Not everything you eat needs to be organic. This is important to keep in mind especially if you are on a budget: http://www.ewg.org/foodnews/dirty_dozen_list.php

And lastly, some humor:
